Har ju tidigare förbannat USA:s extremt krångliga, tungrodda och orättvisa byråkrati. Det har gällt allt från visumansökningar, hyreskontrakt, försäkringar, bankregler, hälsosystem etc.
Under (och innan) vår vistelse i Staterna har Olga och jag irrat runt bland tusentals blanketter från praktiskt taget varenda myndighet. Alltid med resultatet förtvivlade och frustrerade.
Men nu, när resan närmar sig sitt slut, börjar systemet plötsligt klarna och vi går segrande ur denna byråkratiska skärseld. Uthålligheten och envisheten har betalat sig.
Det började med att våra sjukhusräkningar efter Teddans förlossning övertogs av Medicaid, ett slags socialbidrag. Det handlade om sex-siffriga belopp, så lättnaden var helt enorm. Och jag behövde alltså inte sälja mina pärons sommarställe...
Och efter att jag lämnat in deklarationen verkar det som om Uncle Sam ger en rejäl slant tillbaka.
Innan Bush bladade hittade han nämligen på nåt som heter Recovery Rebate Credit, en återbetalning på 1500 dolares, som tillfaller snälla skattebetalare. Ett slags plåster på såren i dåliga tider.
Dessutom fick jag också tillbaka 1000 bucks i sk Child Tax. Redan nu kan jag alltså casha in på grabben. Detta innan hans tenniskarriär tagit fart.

Hello. My wife and I bought our house about 6 months ago. It was a foreclosure and we were able to get a great deal on it. We also took advantage of the 8K tax credit so that definitely helped.
